This was the final piece in the series to date. I made this on the largest canvas. It is meant to represent the different parts of a single consciousness. It is all of the conflicting feelings of the self rolled into one. I named it chakra because it is symbolic of uniting all of a person’s “mental selves”. I felt happy and at peace when I made this.I felt like I was taking the idea from my mind and giving it physical form. I enjoyed using the bright and vibrant colors to make such expressive profiles. I love painting the hair, eyes, and mouth. To be sure, noses, teeth, and fingers are more difficult but quite rewarding.
